What's In Our Blood

Food allergies and sensitivities can be detected using a minimal amount of blood serum. Our blood holds an abundance of vital information that can be utilized for highly precise allergy testing.

IgE and IgG

When it comes to food allergies, a skin prick and blood tests can measure a protein known as IgE (immunoglobulin E). The detection of IgE antibodies usually signifies a response from the immune system. Food sensitivity tests search for IgG (immunoglobulin G), and the extent of antibody binding to each food.

Only A Finger Prick

The finger prick test involves using capillary blood from the fingertip. In our office, the procedure will involve a simple prick of the finger, allowing a few drops of blood to be collected on a card. This blood is processed to separate the red blood cells, leaving only plasma for testing. At ImmunoLabs, finely calibrated equipment and skilled technicians conduct the tests to ensure accurate results.
