Injections Available

B-12, B12, Prolia, Cortisone, Steroids, Testosterone, Hormones, Hormone Therapy

Prolia (Denosumab)

Is used to treat bone loss (osteoporosis) in individuals that have a high risk of fractures.

The medication works by inhibiting the formation of cells that break down bone tissue, leading to increased bone mass and strength.

It’s important to maintain good levels of calcium and vitamin D while on Prolia, as it can cause low calcium levels, especially in people with kidney problems.

B-12 and Other Vitamin Supplements

Vitamin injections are often utilized to address vitamin deficiencies, which can cause a range of health issues, such as fatigue, weakness, and neurological changes.

These injections are particularly advantageous for those who struggle to absorb vitamins or maintain adequate levels through their diet or digestive system. This includes older adults, individuals with gastrointestinal conditions, and those who have had gastric surgery.

For instance, Vitamin B-12 is crucial for DNA synthesis, red blood cell production, and neurological health. It can also aid in reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and neurological disorders, as well as enhancing cognitive function and memory. In cases of B-12 deficiency, injections can rapidly alleviate symptoms like fatigue and weakness, typically resolving them within six to twelve weeks.

Testosterone and other Hormone Therapy

Hormone therapy should only be considered following proper testing and thorough discussion. While there are benefits and it may be appropriate in certain situations, there are also risks that must be clearly understood and carefully monitored through regular testing.

Cortisone and other Steroids

Cortisone and related steroid medications are commonly prescribed to alleviate inflammation associated with a variety of conditions, including allergic reactions, skin issues, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, and respiratory difficulties.

Others

While the above list includes some of the most commonly available and administered injections, there are many additional specialized injections that may be available based on medical necessity.
